86% of the Government subisidies are directed towards Food and Fertilizers - Came across this shocking reality while going through Indian Budget stats.



Government privides fertilizers on subsidy to farmers to produce food which they procure at MSP.

Government provides food to >80 Cr citizens.

Now CG and State Governments are providing more and more direct payments to citizens.


These facts imply very harsh inferences.


Majority portion of India’s population relies on government support to meet their VERY BASIC NEED - FOOD. This suggests deep-rooted challenges in income levels, self-sufficiency, and structural inequality.


Addressing  these systemic issues for a more sustainable and equitable future is of utmost importance.
