One of the best thing that happened to me in articleship is getting equity research alongwith Business valuations.

It helps me :-

-Getting to know the business, alongwith crunching numbers.

-Developing analytical skills.

-Story making from numbers.

Whenever I visit any Market, I am always craving to know something, whether it's about the companies I'm tracking, knowing the trends or something really knew.

For example, Today I visited the famous connaught place and saw this shoe store of Sreeleathers which stated that it's the biggest shoe store in Delhi focussed to cater masses. It was fully packed with people, unlike other brands' stores.

The USP that store offered is the Variety with the price point it's selling shoes and related products.


But, the growth potential of its business is low because of low capex from management, more that 65% of the assets in the company is invested in Mutual Funds.

Similarly, I visited some Monte Carlo stores in Northern India in month of December, and I experienced not so exciting environment and not many visitors in the stores. (That may be some very immature observation.), and this Quarter is the most important for the company. Maybe coincidentally, quarterly results were very similar to my experience.
