Let's ConCALL!

Recently I got a chance to ask questions from MD of a Rs. 850,00,00,000 Market Cap. company.

(Coincidentally that company is today worth Rs. 1,150 Crs. - Do the math now 😁)

With you being hooked to the post, I want to introduce you to the concept of Investor Meets in Equity Markets, often known as Con-Calls.

The Management of company invites the investors after their quarterly results (generally) to ask questions related to business - future prospects, completion of ongoing projects, financials etc.

These meets helps a listed company to share valuable information, clear doubts, maintain transparency and accountability.

When we do Equity Research, we focus on these points related to management -

"Are Promoters/Management giving correct guidance about future activity?"

"Whether they WALK THE TALK?"

"Their understading of their business, numbers etc."

These queries are best solved from concalls.

More important than asking questions is listening to the question of other investors, which gives a different point of view of looking at the company.

Would love to hear your thoughts or doubts on the same in comments section.

Signing off for today.
