As I reflect on my journey of clearing the CA Intermediate exams, I cannot help but acknowledge technology's instrumental role in my success. Apart from online classes, there are some tools (Chrome extensions) that helped me handing distractions, increasing productivity and saving time.

Let’s go with the first one, we CA Aspirants are famous for our normal video speed to be 2x, but how to go beyond that?? Can we?
Here’s a Chrome extension for that: "Video Speed Controller”.
But I would warn you, use this extension cautiously because the grasping power of the mind goes extremely low beyond 2x. It is supposed to be used only in specific circumstances, like doing quick revision/sneak peek over a chapter or skipping a part of a video by accelerating the speed. 
(I am not gonna waste your time explaining how to use it, that’s on you.)

The next one is to remove distractions from Youtube, you’re gonna love it if YT algorithm traps you too.
Extension for that - “Unhook”
It will remove recommended videos, homepage, notifications, annotations etc. which can help you focus on the content (eg. Marathon) you’re watching.


If you have a habit the same as me of checking the Youtube timeline (ye video kab khatam hogi yrr🥲🥲), then you can check this extension out - “Hyde”. It will hide the timeline and player controls as well.


This next one’s my favourite - “StayFocusd”
In this you can restrict a site that distracts you, this extension literally scolds you, and emotionally blackmails you not to use that site beyond the limits specified. The best part is that if you reach limits, you can only edit them the next day.



For a simpler version of the above, you can use “Forest” as an alternative.


Apart from Chrome Extensions, the one tool that I used the most is Excel. It used to be open all the time on my PC. Last year I shared an Excel Planner (which proved to be kind of lifesaver for me) which you can check out in the featured posts section in my profile. I have made a few variations and made some advancements in the same, will share it soon.
