Orientation Course(OC) - a real blessing by ICAI.
Orientation Course(OC) - a real blessing by ICAI.
I was on stage after 10+ years. (Awakening the extrovert within me, once again)
I found peers, sailing the same boat, going through similar or even more challenging circumstances.
15 days straight up, just to enhance soft skills, with new teachers every day, majorly CAs. Amazing!!
OC can surely prove to be a game-changer in one's journey.

Recently, I completed my OC (Orientation Course) classes conducted by ICAI at the Yamunanagar Branch of NIRC.
Not going into what I did etc.. etc.., Here are some experiences and tips you should consider during "your OC classes":-
1. If the teacher asks any question, and you know the answer, you MUST be the first to raise your hand.
(You will be comfortable doing this after 10 days, but why not the first day?)
2.1. Nobody cares about what you are speaking. (Literally)
2.2. Only a few from the audience including the teacher care about how you are speaking 🗣️.
You can make your content stronger later also, but these 15 days are for "HOW YOU SPEAK", learn that!
3. Don't consider OC classes just for the sake of getting a certificate, that's the biggest mistake - because of misconceptions spread on social media.
4. Want a Solution of "Log kya khenge?"? 👇
- The teachers are there in class, just for 6-7 hours, then there will be a new teacher the next day, and none of them is gonna remember you.
- Your peers, you are there just for 15 days, nobody cares after that.
- When nobody's gonna remember you, then why care about what they think?
5. Make friends, have fun, do college life things (like bunking the class etc....🤪) and make these days one of the most exciting in your CA journey.
6. One additional tip - Read the book - "How to win friends and Influence People" by Dale Carnegie and Apply the points mentioned in the books during the OC classes.
What are your expectations about OC classes?
If you had already completed your OC classes, how was your experience?
If you want to know anything about the Orientation course or other guidance related to CA Inter and Foundation, feel free to reach out via DM or comments.
That's all for today.
